The Wind Of Pentecost

Sunday, June 4

Acts 2:1-4 (NKJV)
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Devotion
God uses all four winds in our lives. Some bring rain others bring blessings, judgment or deliverance. Most of the time He uses more than one wind to shape us. He uses storms or trials to make us stronger.

The disciples were changed when the Spirit came upon them and touched them. They spoke in other tongues and became emboldened to speak for the Lord after the great commission. God moved among them and blessed them.

They did not see Him but they knew He was there just like the wind. God can use us in the same way. We also have been touched by the Spirit and given power. He wants to bless us and cause us to rise up and tell the world about Him like they did.

Todays Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,

I receive a fresh touch of your Holy Spirit. I receive power and grace to not only overcome the trials and hard seasons of life, but to also proclaim your word to the uttermost parts of the earth. I am yours Lord, use me for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
