Isolation is something the enemy uses to close in on us whenever sin is an issue. In doing so, we’re enclosed in a bubble of unworthiness where we’re hindered from moving forward.

In our theme scripture today, James highlights the key to living a victorious life in Christ Jesus; Submit yourself!

Submission to God must be a daily mission for every believer. The more we submit the more we lay down our weaknesses and pick up His strength.

Saying yes to Jesus is saying no to the enemy and hence resisting everything he stands for. We must say yes not only once but every single day. Jesus, our perfect example, laid down his life and said yes to the will of the Father. He recognized that this was his ultimate goal and he pursued it to the very end. 

Dear Heavenly Father,

I say yes to you and to your will. I say yes to your way and your plan for my life. Help me to remain steadfast in my pursuit of your kingdom, moving forward ever and backward never. I thank you for your promise to never leave me nor forsake me. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
