Peace In Revelation

Daniel 12:4 (ESV)
But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.
Devotion
When Daniel faithfully recorded the vision given to him, the experience took his breath away and sapped his strength. The message was one of great conflict involving the Jewish people. It was about the end times. It was not metaphorical. The word was true (Daniel 10:1). The word to Daniel is consistent with what Jesus said while he was on the earth, and with what he revealed to John in the book of Revelation.
Here we are. The world is busy with people running to and fro. Even in remote areas, technology enables an increasing flow of information. The fulfillment of the prophecy to Daniel is close. Those who act wickedly will not understand what is going on. Those who purify themselves in Jesus and are wise will understand and will be blessed for persevering. It matters to God that we help others turn to righteousness through these times. Hold on to faith and a good conscience.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the warnings and encouragement through the prophet Daniel. Help us not to be running to and fro, or fooled by the increase of knowledge or by false teachings, or the wisdom of this world. Your word says that you will destroy the wisdom of the wise and frustrate the intelligence of the intelligent (1 Corinthians 1:19). Help us to trust in the death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus. We boast in our Lord Jesus. We trust in our Lord Jesus. We eagerly await the return of our Lord Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
Apply It Today
God does not want us to be consumed with running to and fro. God does not want us to be deceived or overwhelmed by the increase of (false and true) knowledge. Spend some time in quiet worship today. Be amazed that the Creator of the universe has made a way of peace for you.
