Life Is Real

Proverbs 28:13 (NIV)
“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
Devotion
In today's verse, we will look at the devastating effect of hidden sin in the life of a child of God. First let us ask ourselves a simple question: are we as believers capable of feeling the burden of sin once we are saved?
Yes, we all struggle with sin daily even after conversion and many blissful years of loving Jesus.
The Core foundational truth is that God loved the world and sent His Son to save the world from eternal damnation. The reality is once having been justified by faith in Jesus Christ, we now have peace with God. Some may find this reality hard to internalize, still carrying the burden of unconfessed sin.
There is a saying that states “old habits die hard!” This idiom reflects the ongoing struggle we are having with unconfessed sin. The battle with our fallen nature is real and we must live with our desires and decisions daily.
God understands our struggles and has given us sound advice on how to deal with a guilty conscience and burden of sin.
The key is daily repentance which gives us the opportunity by God's grace to experience what God has done for us through His Son Jesus, freedom from sin.
The reality is repentance is a lifetime experience. The very core of biblical truth.
Which helps us understand with Jesus all things are possible!
2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
