Knowledge Is Power

Hosea 4:6 NKJV
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Devotion
As parents and in particular Fathers, we have a heavy mandate on our shoulders. It goes beyond taking care of our children and supplying them with their physical needs.
We are called to be priests in our homes, who look at our families as our first ministry.

What is a priest known for? Teaching God’s word and passing on that knowledge to those they teach. Just like material wealth, spiritual insight can be passed on as a legacy to our children and our children’s children.
It is time for Fathers to arise and take up their position as spiritual leaders in the home, to chart a better path for their children and generations to come.

It’s not about being relevant to the times and generation to a point where you end up compromising your values, it’s about upholding the truth and passing it on without error.

Today's Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the gift of faith that I have received. I have been changed and transformed by your power and saving grace. Help me to pass on the knowledge of your Kingdom to my children and my children’s children. May my life be a shining example of one who walks with you, even before I speak your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Apply It Today
What’s stopping you from going a step higher in teaching your children Godly principles? Have you thought about the risk you’re taking leaving them in ignorance with no knowledge of the truth? God will hold us accountable for every blessing He has given us, including our children.
