Psalm 22:28 (NKJV)
“For the kingdom is the LORD’s, And He rules over the nations.”
Devotion
Many of us who live in America, have as rulers those who occupy positions over our cities and states. And many who are voted in by a majority of the voters, do not embrace the Biblical worldview, nor do they reflect it in their governing and passing of laws - the Judeo-Christian principles, foundations and cornerstones, that were put into place by our founding fathers. And in their poor stewardship of administrative, executive and judicial duties, they have cast off restraint.

When a ruler is God-fearing, and their ways please God, they keep the restraints and guard-rails up on purpose to always keep peace and order in their respective jurisdictions. And in passing laws, they do so for the common good and decency of their citizens, not for the common few.

A good ruler is one who fears God, and eschews evil. A good ruler will double-down to ensure; to safeguard that America’s morals, conduct, liberties and our allegiance to God Himself, is above their interests and certainly above the interests of the majority.

A ruler who is anti-Bible and anti-God will create more problems than solve them. They will pass laws detrimental to God’s Order, which then brings dis-order, mayhem, lawlessness, violence and suppression.
“For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” (John 12:43)

What may we do as children of the Most High God, who must live under these rulers? We must remember that in every age, God has a remnant. (Romans 9:27)

We may not be Jews by birth, yet we certainly have been grafted in by re-birth. And it is through the remnant that God can advance His kingdom on this earth. God is giving America time because “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that those who believe in Jesus may not perish, but have eternal Life.” (John 3:16)

God desires that no man perish. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Unlike the days during the great flood where only 8 souls were saved in the Ark, God is more determined than ever in these waning days, to get as many souls on the last Ark before Jesus comes back.

And for those of us who may be troubled still under certain governors and mayors where you live, encourage your heart with God’s Word.

“If you see the oppression of the poor, and the violent perversion of justice and righteousness in a province, do not marvel at the matter; for high official watches over high official, and higher officials are over them.” (Ecclesiastes 5:8)

"Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.” (Psalm 9:20).

Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,

We acknowledge that You are the true Ruler over all the nations. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom over those in positions of authority, that they may govern with righteousness and integrity. We pray that their hearts be turned towards You, seeking to uphold the values and principles that honor Your name. Where there is corruption, injustice, and the rejection of Your Word, we ask for Your intervention. Strengthen Your remnant to stand firm in faith, proclaiming Your truth and advancing Your kingdom. In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
