Fight On
Sunday, June 9
1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV)
“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Devotion
Most things worth having in life do not come easy. We can look at so many people and think that we want what they have- their popularity, their fame, and their wealth. However, we do not realize that a lot of those things come at a cost.
Sometimes their families suffer. Some of the most influential people in the world are those who have gone through the most difficult challenges that brought them to where they are today.
However, fighting for what matters is always worth it. This creates a lasting impact and legacy. Having faith is often difficult, countercultural. However, we know that this is a good fight because it is what matters for eternity. We can cling to eternal life each and every day as a promise from God when we accept Him as our savior.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to value what truly matters—faith, love, integrity, and the pursuit of Your will. Help me to fight for these things, knowing that they create a lasting impact and legacy that glorifies You. I recognize that having faith in a world that often rejects it can be difficult and countercultural, but I know it is the good fight, the one that matters for eternity. Help me to fight on. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
