Deliverance In Due Time

Monday, December 16

Luke 2:4-7 (NKJV)
“Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
Devotion

The days were completed; deliverance was here! It might seem that a census determined where Jesus was born, but ultimately, it was God orchestrating history, ensuring the Messiah's arrival in Bethlehem matched Old Testament prophecy.

With the birth of Christ, even in the humblest of circumstances, we see that God's plan unfolds in His perfect timing.

Just as Mary and Joseph experienced the fullness of time in Bethlehem, we too face days filled with challenges.

Real victory comes one day at a time, even when some days seem to hold too much sorrow.

As believers, we can dance through our diagnoses, testify through our tears, and sing through our sorrows. Today, we can rejoice because the 'Son of the Most High' has come, reminding us that no matter how hard the day, we can get through this one, focusing on the promise and hope He brings.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Your perfection of everything in its time never ceases to amaze me. Just as You orchestrated the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus in its time, You also created me for this time. I know I have a purpose for which I was created, and I ask that You reveal to me that purpose and grant me the wisdom to carry it out to the fullest. I commit to spending precious time with You daily, so that You may guide me into Your perfect plan. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Apply It Today

During this season of busyness, make it a point to slow down and spend some intimate time with Jesus each day, seeking his wisdom and guidance for yourself so that you can be a vessel of honor for him.
