Capable God

Luke 9:16-17
Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.
Devotion
When we consider the fact that Jesus blessed the loaves and fish and then it multiplied, what are we holding back from him that he wants to bless? Are we holding back our talents like the servant in Matthew 15:14-30? Are we holding back one of our spiritual gifts and assuming we are not enough? Does God not prepare the unequipped? Is that not why He expects us to trust Him for the outcome? Are we thinking that He is not big enough to solve our problems?
We need to quit looking at our problems and look at the size of our God. If He is our Provider then He is more than able to provide for us? Because He has not changed.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you that you are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides. I thank you that you know my needs even before I ask. Help me find rest in you, my Father and my provider. I trust that you have a plan and you will see me through. Amen!
